Publication alert! Had the opportunity to put together a short article for my PHDE 792 "Legal Basis of Educational Organization and Administration" course on the case, Hendricks v. Clemson University. Interesting case concerning college students' legal relationship with academic support professionals. Thanks Dr. Sheena Kauppila for putting together a cool assignment this semester!Read here:

Very interesting article (especially for my neck of the higher education woods)! Eligibility regulations make planning massively important. Lots of implications for the future of student-athlete support if there is a duty legally established, as you mentioned, with what is going on in the present day. Great stuff Zach!!!

Got distracted while writing my dissertation prospectus proposal and found this cool resource: https://lnkd.in/ewCWNyc2A bit older, but super neat data from CUPA-HR on higher education salaries! Worth a look for those actively job-seeking in higher education.

My big 2023 goal was to ask this question for each of the six classes I taught: "what will students remember from your class in 20 years" (from Jim Lang's article in the Chronicle of Higher Education)? My students' feedback has been a great place to start. You don't always know WHOM you might influence and HOW that can inform their development. Here's a question for you: "how can you be altruistic in 2024?" 😊

Over the past 6 semesters (2 years) of my Ph.D. program, I have tackled 6266 pages of assigned reading (excluding references) and written 211 pages pertaining to class assignments. Beyond gratifying to see these breakdowns!
