Chapter Text
The first sunrays hit the window of her alcove as Cow Girl woke up. Her clothes were all over the floor, a white blouse laid on a chair by a desk in front of the window, her undergarments were on the bookshelf, and her skirt laid over the night table.
There was a dark grey armor too, and a short sword laid on the desk. Still sleeping on her bed and covered by white sheets laid Goblin Slayer, nude.
There were bite marks over his neck and shoulders, strong nails had clawed on his back. Cow Girl smiled as she saw all those love marks she left on him. It had been a simple act, no weird or fancy positions, no kisses in unexpected places… it was fine with her though, she was a simple woman who knew what she wanted, and he knew how she wanted it, after all, it wasn’t the first time they’d done that since they were back from Centoria.
The turn of the other two girls to have him would come later, in spring… in spring Goblin Slayer was mostly hers, sure, they could hang out with him, maybe one or two kisses, but to preserve his sanity, only one girl could do the deed with him.
Goblin Slayer woke up groggily, a bit tired from last night’s passion.
“Good morning sleepy prince” Cow Girl muttered, opening the curtains just enough for sunlight to enter, the light reflecting in her red locks.
“If it is morning….” He sighed, he’d forgotten about his morning patrol, ah well, he’d have to give another round soon, lest he wanted goblins to invade his home.
“One day of not doing that patrol of yours won’t mean goblins will invade this farm, we got farmhands now, don’t you remember?”
“Hmmm…” he rumbled, then he rose up, walking towards her old friend… A slight smile, barely there, forming on the corners of his lips, he grabbed her by the hips, and then gave a lovely bite to her neck, making her moan…
Needless to say, they went back to bed for a while.
…
After a session of morning lovemaking they got dressed, and she reheated the remainders of last night’s stew for him.
“Don’t you get tired of that thing, old friend?”
“No”
Cow Girl sighed, prepping herself something different, and simpler than that stew, a rib eye steak with cooked spinach, a pork sausage, an egg and potatoes, a hearty breakfast was in order for calving season, and she had to make sure the new guys and galls her uncle had hired (from what she gathered, a bunch of refugees from another world) would be up to the task.
There was a lot of food on her plate.
“Isn’t it too much?”
“Today will be a long day” she took a large bite to the steak, medium rare as it was meant to be.
Her uncle walked into the kitchen, rather eager for someone who had barely slept thanks to all those night noises.
“Morning!” he said, with a lot of enthusiasm for someone whose adoptive daughter had done a bunch of stuff he’d rather not have heard.
“Morning!” Cow Girl waved hi, then his uncle went over the stove to brew some coffee.
“Want some?”
The two young adults shook their heads, ah well, their loss.
“I’ll be having dinner with some friends at the temple, so don’t wait for me” he then said, drinking his dark coffee in one gulp and left the kitchen.
“See you later” Cow Girl said once she was done with the dishes, planting a chaste kiss on Goblin Slayer’s lips and frolicking to the fields.
…
“Goblins?” it was midday already, and the guild was almost empty, only Guild Girl remained by the receptionist desk.
“Nope, not even a dumb teenager dressed as a goblin scaring villagers on the fields” Guild Girl said, then she ordered him to wait a bit as she went to the small room behind the reception desk to come back with two cups of tea.
“Do you want some? It’s a special blend, that guy with the canes gave it to me”
“I see… hmmm, sure” Goblin Slayer took the cup, his helmet was on the counter, thus the new adventurers that arrived with spring missed the chance to see him drink through the visor of his helmet.
He could hear the murmurs, old adventurers muttering about how he wasn’t using his helmet, and how his armor didn’t reek of blood and guts, even if it was still opaque and reinforced steel plate with leather.
“Did she come?”
“Your cleric? Yeah, she saw you had yet to arrive and went back to the temple”
“Ah yes… She said something about training clerics and holy warriors”
He was making an effort to speak more, even chitchat, and those practices with Guild Girl, Cow Girl and his friends seemed to be working, albeit slowly, he still felt quite weird trying to act more normal.
“How was it?”
“What?”
“You know…” Guild Girl blushed, it was rather obvious she wasn’t talking about the tea.
And of course, he didn’t get.
“Ah well” she took a deep breath, “I guess I’ll have to ask her the details~”
They kept talking for a while, the rest of his party nowhere to be seen, Guild Girl explained him that High Elf Archer, Dwarf Shaman and Lizard Priest took a quest to map some ruins with a professor from the University of Faerun. Then he had to excuse himself, afternoon meant that a bunch of adventurers who took quests nearby flooded the guild, and once again his girl was busy, at a table, though, he could see Spearman sulking as “his beautiful angel of a receptionist had been taken”, and Witch beaming quite uncharacteristically.
He walked back to the farm, the trees that covered the winding road were turning green again, and the first calves of the season frolicked around the fields as some foreigners in weird clothing took care of them, following the wise guidance of Cow Girl and his uncle.
There were no traces of goblin activity, nevertheless he gave one lap around the farm, the only weird thing he saw was a raccoon playing with a shield.
Maybe he could take it for Cow Girl?
Ah yes… she didn’t want new pets.
Soon he made it back to the farm and took dinner with Cow Girl and then a nice long bath with her.
It was a lazy day; he didn’t really do something productive… he could use more of those.
