Why Use Our MLB Weather Reports?
Weather can play a critical role in MLB DFS for a couple of reasons. Precipitation (rain/sleet/snow) can either postpone or cancel a game – and if you don’t adjust your lineups accordingly, you’ll be wasting valuable space and not getting the points you need. Secondly, weather conditions such as wind direction and wind speed as well as temperature and humidity can affect player performance – whether it’s due to fatigue or otherwise. High winds can sometimes mess with a pitcher’s control or, if the wind is in the right direction, can help batters hit more dingers. Obviously high temperatures and even humidity can cause players to tire out faster and may cause dehydration, leading to performance issues. These reasons and more are why you need to take the weather into account when creating MLB DFS lineups.

MLB Weather Report and Forecast FAQ
How Does A Warm And Cold MLB Weather Forecast Impact Play:
Molecules are less dense, dispersing more widely. Conversely, colder air results in denser molecules, closer together, influencing the ball’s movement through the air.
Delving into technical details, humid air holds more moisture, with the lightweight water vapor displacing heavier molecules like oxygen and nitrogen, providing the ball with a smoother trajectory. Higher humidity levels, indicated by higher dew points, increase the likelihood of the ball traveling farther.
Though the difference may seem slight, considering air temperature adds intrigue. For every 10 degrees above 75 degrees Fahrenheit, a baseball can travel approximately three feet farther. This phenomenon is more pronounced on scorching days nearing 95 degrees with a dew point around 70, uncomfortable for spectators but optimal for boosting ball travel.
Recall the games you’ve attended or watched on TV, noting when home runs were hit. They’re more prevalent during the summer months and on humid nights. Moreover, ballparks in warm, humid climates like Texas, Florida, and California witness more home runs, underscoring the significant role of weather in baseball.
