Jolly (Generation 3) (2024)

Fantasy Jolly, also known simply as just Jolly, is an animatronic that appears across multiple series. He originates from the Jolly series by IvanG.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Fantasy Jolly is a blue, humanoid animatronic bee with white accents, such as on his face, hat, shoes and the stripes on his torso. He has blue blushes on his face, a black bowtie with white buttons on a white rectangular print, and his face can open up and reveal part of his endoskeleton head.

Background[edit | edit source]

Due to there being two continuities with different iterations of the animatronic, this will be split into two sections that explains the animatronic is both continuities in order to prevent confusion.

It is to be noted that both Fantasy Jollies are different characters with different lore, with the same appearance.

'JOLLY Paradox' continutity[edit | edit source]

In the JOLLY Paradox continuity, Fantasy Jolly was first built by JOLLY Entertainment in 2003. Jolly does not have an actual personality, as he was merely just an animatronic for Jolly's Fantasy World. However, he was taken to the restaurant's facility and modified with the Project J-0114 system a week before the namesake game's events, which caused him to become very hostile and attack lone people so he can claim their soul. An intern ended up being killed by Fantasy Jolly, and their soul was fused with him, causing so much immense agony that they would project their anger and revenge onto Steve Clarke, the worker of the facility.

In the following week, Mikhail Schmidt would encounter the possessed Fantasy Jolly who would become progressively worse every night, giving Mikhail the idea that he was haunted, so Mikhail destroy him alongside Tweetie and Maxie on his 7th night as an attempt to put them out of their misery. However this failed, as Jolly and the others were quickly repaired as if nothing happened, though this did lead to an incident where Jolly's faceplates, loose from the damages, fell off and crushed a child to death, leading to the manifestation of a stigma resembling him.

Jolly was quickly taken to be disposed of in the landfill as a way to cover up Project J-0114, melting and welding together with all the other Fantasy Animatronics (except for George) until completely unrecognisable, and causing the soul possessing him to be freed.

In Ultimate JOLLY Night, Fantasy Jolly (who is confirmed by Buzzy to actually be The Paradox taking the form of him and 27 other animatronics at the same time) appears to have a personality, where he often makes bee puns every time he kills Kevin Johnson in the labyrinth.

In Ultimate JOLLY Night: Legacy Edition, a duplicate of Fantasy Jolly was copy-pasted by The Paradox (after it tampered with the plane's laptop) to Jull's Plane with the task of killing Buzzy, who is controlled by Jull. Judging by his properties, it appears to be Fantasy Jolly from the JOLLY Paradox timeline before he was modified with the Project J-0114 system and before he was possessed.

He is proven to be a duplicate since the original was destroyed in the landfill.

'Alteration' continuity[edit | edit source]

In the Alteration continuity, Fantasy Jolly was presumably built by in 2003, and was the main mascot of Jolly's Fantasy World starting in 2005. He was built to believe that he is actually the 'Jolly the Bee' character and not a robot modelled after the character. His personality is described as rather leader-like and fun-loving, as he shows passion and care towards his stage partner Tweetie, and his other pals George and Maxie.

In the sneak peek of One Jolly Day: Alteration Revision which shows the first scenes of the movie, Jolly appears to be slightly depressed and bored due to countless nightmares about some dragon, as well as spending 5+ years with nobody to entertain, which caused his friends to feel concerned about him. He is also shown to be unable to fight Red Jolly, though it could be because Jolly was not prepared for the battle, which came out of nowhere for him.

Game Behaviour[edit | edit source]

Project J-0114: 2nd Anniversary Edition[edit | edit source]

Fantasy Jolly will appear at the right door as he says a sound cue. The player must close the right door to block him from entering, or else they will get jumpscared.

Ultimate JOLLY Night[edit | edit source]

He will begin at the Fantasy Show Stage with Fantasy Tweetie.

When he makes it to the right entrance with the door, he will block the door for a while, letting Fantasy Tweetie in to jumpscare the player. If nobody else heads in through the right door, Fantasy Jolly will grow bored and jumpscare the player himself.

Ultimate JOLLY Night: Legacy Edition[edit | edit source]

This game isn't released yet, meaning that for the time being, this character's behaviour is unknown.

Additional Information[edit | edit source]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Fantasy Jolly's speed in Ultimate JOLLY Night was originally very slow, but he was made much faster in a later update due to a buff, so that he could be encountered more often on max difficulty and so that 28/20 mode would be more harder.

Inspirations[edit | edit source]

  • Jolly originates from the Five Nights at Freddy's fangame titled Jolly, developed by IvanG.
  • Jolly, like all his variants, are based on the fast-food mascot Jollibee.
  • His design is also slightly similar to the Funtime Animatronics from Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location.
