Clemson has been an incredible school so far! Back when I was applying for colleges I was hesitant to go to Clemson university because of the things I heard about and the type of people who went there. However, my first year there I was so surprised to find just a really welcoming community. Everyone was incredibly friendly and even for someone who is kind of antisocial like me, I was able to make friends really quickly. The overall environment of Clemson was exciting and I could tell a lot of students were very happy to be there and ready to learn and fully enjoy being a college student.

Not really a good school for students that don’t come from money and have scholarships backing them. A lot professors grade for attendance and don’t care if you have to work a job. Even with an intense amount of drive and academic intelligence, it’s really easy to get burnt out and struggle mentally here. Dorms cost a lot for a relatively low quality and not all of the off campus housing has access to the bus as well as other places. The parking has also gotten really bad for people who drive cars. It does look like a good school on paper, but these small things make a big difference to people who don’t have money!

Clemson University has deep Greek Life roots, but there is so much more for new students to discover. Student programs like intramural sports, the WSBF Clemson radio station, and international culture festivals are just a few examples of other developed communities Clemson has to offer. The campus is green and downtown is close! There really is something for everyone.
